On December 2, 2008, Yale Law School alumni and their guests attended the most recent Law and Globalization Breakfast in Washington, D.C. After three breakfasts held in New York City, the event on December 2nd marked the second successful breakfast in D.C. Approximately 50 people attended the breakfast and panel discussion entitled “International Environmental Challenges on Energy, Global Warming, and the Post Kyoto Regime.” The panelists included Liz Barratt-Brown ’91, Senior Attorney, International Program, Natural Resources Defense Council; E. Donald Elliott ’74, Professor (adjunct), Yale Law School, former General Counsel, Environmental Protection Agency, Partner, Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP; Dan C. Esty ’86, Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy, School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Yale University, Clinical Professor of Law, Yale Law School; and Frank Loy, Former Undersecretary of State for Global Affairs, lead U.S. climate negotiator.
