On a wet, windy, and cold afternoon, a hardy group of YLS alumni and their families and friends gathered at Fenway Park. They came from all across New England, from as far away as Maine, to as nearby as downtown Boston. The group heard terrific stories of Red Sox history and saw a number of fun things including a piece of the foul pole that Carlton Fisk’s game-winning ball hit in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series and the seats on top of the Green Monster. Everyone then had a chance to chat as they enjoyed hamburgers and hotdogs in an area of Fenway Park that overlooked the field. One topic of discussion during dinner was – will the rain stop or will the game be postponed . . . Although the game unfortunately had to be postponed, everyone who braved the weather enjoyed being at the ballpark and visiting with each other!
