Almost forty YLS and Yale University alums and their guests attended dinner and fascinating panel discussion on "Direct and Collateral Consequences of the Actions of Former Massachusetts Drug Lab Chemist, Annie Dookhan." Panelists David E. Meier, Partner, Todd & Weld, and Governor appointee to investigate the work of Dookhan; William W. Fick '01, Assistant Federal Public Defender; and Matt Segal '02, Legal Director, ACLU, gave spellbinding presentations of the lengths to which the actions of Dookhan may well have changed the lives of Massachusetts citizens. The Q & A session continued to reveal additional complexities and mysteries of the Annie Dookhan case and the possible consequences. In addition to the panel discussion, there was time for the group to mix and mingle with one another.
