There were 150 alumni and their guests at the annual YLSA of Washington, DC dinner on Wednesday, July 10 at the National Press Club, all eager to see their many YLS friends. Senator Michael Bennet ’93 (D-CO), the keynote speaker of the evening, greeted many of his YLS classmates. In fact, there were two tables of the Class of 1993 graduates eager to hear their classmate, now a United States Senator. After the reception, a lovely time to mix and mingle, co-chair of the YLSA DC Steering Committee Nicholas Miranda ’08 welcomed the many attendees and introduced YLS Dean Robert Post ’77, who gave a brief update on the School. Later during the meal, he introduced Senator Michael Bennet who gave remarks, interspersed by delightful humorous asides. He described his own background prior to coming to Washington, and then spoke briefly about his own work in the Senate, before opening up the floor to many questions and comments.
